Sustainability
We have been actively engaged in advanced building science for decades, recognizing its importance to your home, the environment, and our future.
As a member of the Green Building Council and LEED certification, our goal remains to be accountable for what we build.
KVC Builders is highly experienced in “green” building technology. From thermal barriers to water management to solar collection and more. At the early stages of each project, we implement the best practices for increasing performance and efficiency.
Our definition of building green focuses on 6 aspects of building design. Water management, energy efficiency, thermal properties, sustainable products, responsible waste management and post-construction commissioning. All of this combines to provide your project with cost benefits and reduced dependence on energy.
Energy
Consumption
Our systems focus on energy efficiency and indoor air quality. Using “smart” and remote-control systems allow your home to reduce energy without sacrificing performance. Coupled with the latest technology in geothermal, photovoltaic collection, and variable refrigerant heat pumps, we can provide the highest quality and most efficient systems.
Water
Management
Implementing an active and passive water management system is critical in maintaining a healthy home. Keeping moisture away from susceptible materials is the highest goal. This provides a sound foundation for your forever home.
OUTSULATING &
THERMAL BARRIERS
Increasing thermal barriers is at the heart of reducing energy usage. We use the latest technology to add exterior insulation. This exterior “blanket” provides additional thermal coverage beyond just the wall cavity. This combined with insulating all mechanical and plumbing distribution allows your home to maintain comfort temperatures longer and use less energy.
